Stratigraphy |
| The following idealized profiles give an overview of the triassic stratigraphy and bed names in southwestern Germany. The named layers and beds cannot be found everywhere in outcrops as their occurence sometimes depends on local facies developments.
Please note: As most bed names have derived from lithological features or fossil content, I think it makes sense to add english translations to provide a better understanding. In all other texts, the beds will be referred to with their German names. |
